Joseph Payton, Chairman, Oneida, LLC After working with Corporate Express’ Corporate Communications and Investor Relations departments during their critical IPO and secondary offering phase (93-96), Joe Payton entered real estate development by buying and fixing his first house in the Spring of 1997. Closed out in the summer of 2003, his Vista West project just outside of Austin, Texas entailed renovating 40 units (20 duplexes), encompassing an entire city block with a total budget of $3.5 million. The Vista West project and has been credited with revitalizing this Austin bedroom community. An established real estate developer, Joe has developed more than 60 properties, securing financing and investor participation and directed total project management. His focus now is on meeting niche needs in established neighborhoods with modern, residential infill redevelopment. As principal on this project, Joe will collaborate with his profession team: planning with architects, engineers and building department, recruit and manage contractors, coordinate inspections and draws, and market and sell, or rent and manage the property.
